more action less talk
Sorry its been such a long while .... we've recently finished 2 months of paradise in Singapore and its really hard to adjust back to the extreme opposite of sunny weather, great shops and good food, and network of supportive friends and family. Have had been suffering from major withdrawal symptoms since our arrival at Birmingham airport 2 weeks ago but we are slowly getting back on our feet. Been doing lots of thinking, contemplating and self-reflecting. I promise to return with more news ... in the near future ...
Morgan's latest developmental assessment at 2 years old is well above average. He was coping really well with matching colours and stacking blocks to make a tall tower. Although he spoke few words of Welsh and Mandarin, he clearly understood all questions asked in English and needed no prompting from us. We then explained that English really was his third language because only Mandarin and Welsh were spoken to him at home, which somehow wowed the health visitor. He scored the highest in his visual skills - he's about 4 years old in this aspect. His understanding of things and social skills are next in line. Apparently he needed a little work on manipulative skills which really just means using the different parts of the body when necessary, like jumping, kicking etc.
There is no real concern over his development at this stage at all. He is, according to the health visitor, doing really fine and growing well.
