water baby

This is the local swimming pool that I go to with my mummy. The poolground is new and totally colourful. It has a fun-slide and great features such as a water tunnel, lots of shower-and-spray effects, and even a 'surprise' water bucket on your way up the stairs to the slide. Now, open-air swimming pools are so cool!

Sunday Indulgence

When talking about indulgence, no one beats Morgan's 婆 婆. Morgan's grandma is a fabulous cook. She had already won many friends and relatives over with her delicious and healthy home-cooking. On Sunday she made yummy sharks' fins soup, roast pork, Chinese stir-fried vegetables in abalone, braised duck meat in soy sauce, and meat spring roll complete with sprigs of coriander. Most of these food are popular served in traditional Chinese restaurants. What's really admirable was, everything's home-made and she had begun preparing all that food the day before, all by herself.

As for Morgan, he was indulged with the neighbourhood kiddy-rides by his grandma and his Aunty Jenny. As a kid, I really enjoyed going on them.

Mandai Zoo Trip

A quick update on the zoo trip with 公 公 last Saturday. It was a warm and lovely afternoon - perfect for a day out at the zoo! It was a rather long trip, we had to change 3 buses to get there. Thank goodness 公 公 was around to help mummy lug the buggy up and down the bus, and took turns to carry Morgan.

There was a great variety of wildlife at the zoo.
I'll let the pictures do the talking ....

Morgan watching a koi fish swimming about in the pond. Apparently the fishes here are amazingly friendly. They are so professional when soliciting food. They know how to make eye contact and shape their mouths into an O as people walk pass.

Orangutans are so hairily funny too. This one turned his back around and was caught making a poo!

..... Mummy and baby bonding session? .....

太 婆's latest muse

Some captions of Morgan and his great-grandmother during the day ... this is before 太 婆 was admitted to the hospital. By the way, Morgan's 太 婆 is already 87 years old and still has a beautiful head of grey hair. 我 想 以 后 老 了也 要 有 太 婆 美 丽 的 灰 发 !

It looks like Morgan's trying to work out if the banana 太 婆 offered actually tastes better than his orange. Looking at the bits of orange peel he left behind, I think we can all guess Morgan's answer to the conclusion ....

Sarong Singapore

Sorry for the lack of news recently. We've had too many happenings over the weekend - going to the zoo with 公 公 (gong gong), party at 婆 婆 's (po po) house, and since last week 太 婆 (tai po or Morgan's great-grandmother) was hospitalised for a few days due to her persistent cough that led to a very mild heart failure. Anyway, 太 婆 has been discharged today and she is looking good. Unfortunately she does not feel as well as she looks, and still more pictures coming up ....

Aunty Jenny from Labuan has also just arrived over the weekend and we spent a day out with her at Harbour Front. Met up with many of my old schoolmates from university too - some are married, some are still single; some have kids, some rather have cars; but I believe most of us have changed though some of us seem never to age!

First of all, some lovely pictures of Morgan in swing-Singapore style. Oops, I promised 婆 婆 to put this up ages ago! ....
